WASHINGTON, D.C. – Emgage Action mourns the six victims killed at Covenant School today in Nashville, Tennessee. The victims were three children and three staff members.
“This is a horrifying day for the nation,” said Wa’el Alzayat, Emgage Action CEO. “No one should have to live through this level of fear because of these continuous mass shootings. We all deserve better – especially our children.”
According to data from the Gun Violence Archive, this marks the 130th mass shooting in 2023.
Emgage Action has long advocated for gun violence prevention and will continue to do so until such tragedies are a thing of the past.
