Free will and self-determination are basic human rights that are under assault in a manner and on a scale not seen since World War II. Across the globe, ultra-nationalist parties and politicians have successfully directed the powers of the state to persecute ethnic and religious minorities. From India, to Burma, to China, tens of millions of people are being denied their basic rights simply because they belong to a minority group.
As an organization committed to the rights and dignity of all individuals, our focus on international crises in the scope of human rights and religious freedoms is vital to our work. Our focus will include Congressional along with Administrative actions that can be taken to address issues from around the globe.
A failure to confront these challenges and ending these atrocities puts not only ethnic and religious minorities in danger, but also the safety of all of us who believe in multi-ethnic and multi-religious democracies.
