Muslim Advocacy Group Applauds Resignation of Brooklyn Democratic District Leader For Justifying Genocide of Palestinians, Xenophobic Comments
Washington, D.C- In now-deleted tweets, Brooklyn Democratic District leader Lori Maslow used religious scripture to justify genocide against the Palestinian people. Maslow also made anti-Asian comments, a group that has been notably targeted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Emgage Action, a Muslim advocacy group, applauds Maslow’s resignation over these tweets.
“…Palestinians kill Jews. Think we are going to stand there and let that happen? We value life. They don’t. Never again. An as the bible says, and you shall wipe the children of Amelek off the face of the earth. Period. Shoot or kill us, we respond.”
“We’re sick of buying from China. They did this to us. They lied to us. And yes, Trump played outside role as well. I, for one, will never, ever buy anything made in China again. Join me.” – Lori Maslow
“These xenophobic comments against Chinese communities and blatant bigotry against the Palestinian people is horrifically shocking. These sentiments should be repudiated by the Democratic Party. We feel her resignation is appropriate.” Wa’el Alzayat, CEO of Emgage Action
